HRM Engineering expands and acquires a sound and vibration expert company

2014-12-08:
Press Release

Müller-BBM Scandinavia now becomes part of HRM Engineering. The acquisition is in line with HRM’s development of its operations in the vehicle, offshore and manufacturing industry sectors. The company’s new name is Müller HRM Engineering and in addition to expertise in the sound and vibration field, it will offer the advanced PAK analysis tool.

Experience and range
The company was once part of German company Müller-BBM, with about 1100 employees and headquarters in Germany. The operation encompasses all significant areas in the field of sound and vibration. “A major portion of HRM’s operations can be found in the vehicle industry, where there is considerable need for these services,” says Mats Rogbrant, CEO of HRM Engineering, “but the offshore, industrial and energy sectors are also prioritised customer groups.”

Noise, environment and public health
In the area of eco-tech, sound and vibration is a key area. The World Health Organization and the EU both have new, more stringent noise directives based on comprehensive research into the health effects of excessive noise levels. The charting of noise levels and the design and implementation of corrective measures are both within Müller HRM Engineering’s area of expertise.

World-class measurement tool
The sale and licencing of the PAK analysis and measurement tool will be a new addition to the HRM offer. “It is important for us to be able to offer our customers the very best there is,” says Mats Rogbrant, “and since PAK was developed in-house within the Müller-BBM Group, there is unique competence as regards use of the tool and exploitation of the results in the most optimal way.”

Investment for the future
As a result of this acquisition eight specialists have moved to HRM Engineering’s premises in Eriksberg. “This is just the start; we are convinced that this part of our operation will continue to grow. Sound and vibration is a sphere that is definitely undergoing significant growth,” concludes Mats Rogbrant.
